This Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) was designed as part of the dissemination activities of the Edible Cities Network project, a €12M Horizon Europe project. I joined EdiCitNet for a year to co-lead the communication and dissemination work package.and to oversee and coordinate the MOOC deliverable.
The Making Cities Edible online course is tailored to the needs of three key target audiences: Edible city initiatives, Start-ups and (social) businesses and Local municipalities.
It offers an impact-based, hands-on approach to improve food access, enhance urban resilience, reduce ecological footprints, use innovative techniques and to strengthen community bonds in cities.
Based on already delivered and newly curated dissemination activities, Making Cities Edible is hosted by a team of expert instructors with extensive knowledge in urban agriculture, sustainability, and community development. It is a completely free online course providing a comprehensive understanding of Edible City Solutions, combining theoretical and practical knowledge. Join the course!

The "Making Cities Edible" podcast on Spotify, explores how cities can integrate food production into urban infrastructure.
It features projects like Cologne’s urban farming, focusing on sustainability, food security, and community engagement to transform urban spaces into productive, edible landscapes.
We were chatting to policy makers, activists, and citizens, who have made their cities more edible through innovations such as food strategies, food policy councils, and more.
The podcast was developed in collaboration with the Brighton and Hove Food Partnership, UK and co-curated by me.
The two-day Final Project Meeting of the Edible Cities Network project took place in early autumn 2023 across two iconic Berlin locations: the Humboldt Forum and the Prinzessinengärten, a vibrant community garden situated in an active cemetery.
On the first day, I supported the official project presentations at the Humboldt Forum.
On the second day, I took full responsibility for coordinating the entire program, which included parallel workshops in Prinzessinengärten`s beautiful locations including the Acker and the Raised Bed Beet, and a guided tour of the garden for appr. 100 guests.
